On May 21, 2022 Chicago Innovation hosted the 10th anniversary of the Chicago Student Invention Convention at the Illinois Institute of Technology. The event was the culmination of a 10-week innovation curriculum that was delivered to 1,500 students in the Chicagoland area to encourage creative problem-solving through invention.

K-3rd Grade Winners
- 1st place – Cameron A’Hearn, a 3rd grader from North Shore Country Day school, for No More Nose Swabs.
- 2nd place – Leena Johnson, a 3rd grader from North Shore Country Day school, for The Trash Crab.
- 3rd place – Gabriel Puente and Brandon Tovar, both 3rd graders from Edward Everett STEM Elementary, for the Loli Rice Krispie.
4th Grade Winners
- 1st place – Eduardo Rios from Jungman STEM Magnet, for the Super Air Fresh Lunch Box.
- 2nd place – Addair Walker and Haruki Martin from Pulaski International School of Chicago, for the Urban Garden.

For the 10th anniversary celebration, CSIC also honored the founder of our competition, Anneliese Gegenheimer, early supporters Gina Cardosi, Patrick Harris, and Edward Spriggins, as well as educators who have participated in the program for over 5 years.
