In 6th-8th at Lozano we started with the Ideas Box lessons and the kids loved investigating inventors and interacting with the Dyson Air Multiplier.

We then worked in groups to complete many design and engineering challenges.

8th graders created an artificial bone, a mechanical arm, and an energy bar.

6th and 7th worked on a toilet tube toy, index card towers, paper cup challenge, and Straw boat challenge. See our progress in the pictures attached.

Volunteers are now moving on to start their own brainstorming for the Chicago Student Invention Convention Contest in April.

Our mentor is coming tomorrow to present to us and so we can meet him!
